Tyler's little one

-Monday was mine and Tyler's last day together for awhile, and we couldn't think of a better way to spend the day then to find out if we are having a boy or a girl.-

FIRE!

-This is what it looks like from Mountain Home-
-Last Thursday night a dry thunderstorm come through Idaho, igniting 21 different fires across the southwest. By Friday evening 11 of these fires had combined into two enormous ones the Elks Complex and the Pony Complex-
-The Elk Complex fire has 416 people working to contain it. It has burned (thus far) 90,249 acres and is 5% contained. The towns of Pine and Featherville have been evacuated.-
-The Pony Complex fire started just 12 miles outside of Mountain Home (that's 24 Miles from the base) but the wind pushed the fire up into the mountains. 240 people are working to contain this fire that has consumed 119,543 acres it is, at this time, 20% contained.  For more information you can go to this website www.inciweb.org

Jennie Lake

-Tyler had the fourth of July off, so we went for a 9 mile hike. 4.5 miles up to Jennie Lake and 4.5 miles back down-
-It was supposed to be about 100 degrees in Mountain Home. To avoid the heat we went into the mountains and the entire hike up it was completely overcast with a cool breeze-

Boise National Forest

-Tyler and I decided to go camping/ sight seeing this three day weekend. We left on Friday got into the  forest and we were headed up our first mountain pass when the truck started overheating. We stopped there, let the truck cool off and headed back home. Sadly we didn't get home until after six and all the repair shops were closed. Needless to say we got the problem solved (dirty radiator) and continued our journey on Saturday
-Ty and I at the top of a pass-
-We camped next to the river and went for a little swim, granted the water is still very cold-
-Our camp site is just to the left of the picture-
-Tyler cooking our breakfast in the morning-
-Us ready to start the days adventure-
